The Nashville Yards entertainment component — to be highlighted by a 12-screen cineplex with dining options — has rebranded with a new name and is slated to open in the fall.
The future space will be called Hooky Nashville Yards, with Austin-based parent company Hooky Entertainment to oversee the complex.
According to a Nashville Yards spokesperson, Hooky Entertainment is associated with Es Vedra Cinemas. That entity offers a portfolio of companies that includes cineplexes Violet Crown, Times Square Grand Slam and ShowBiz.
Austin-based Marbella Interests is affiliated with Es Vedra Cinemas, with the former having recently disassociated with Elevate Entertainment Group, according to the Austin Business Journal (read here). Originally, Elevate and Marbella were to have operated the entertainment component of Nashville Yards via EVO Entertainment Group, which announced the effort in September 2022 (read here).
Hooky Nashville Yards will include, in addition to the 12-screen movie facility, food-and-beverage options, bowling and video games. A source said it will take cues from the Hooky facility to open soon in Hutto, Texas (which is located in the Austin suburbs).
Hooky Nashville Yards will operate from Nashville Yards’ mid-rise office and entertainment building that fronts the 900 block of Church Street (see here). Global entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency will be the anchor tenant of the building. The source said an October opening is planned for Hooky.
Southwest Value Partners, the master developer of Nashville Yards, and AEG have teamed to develop the sites of the CAA Building and the adjacent The Pinnacle (which offers a live music venue).
“Hooky Nashville Yards will offer a dynamic entertainment experience with luxury dine-in cinemas, bowling, video games and other immersive attractions, centered on connection and unforgettable shared experiences,” a Nashville Yards spokesperson emailed the Post.
